TicTacLearn is an innovative platform, designed to cater specifically to India's diverse student population. It offers engaging videos, quizzes and activities that make learning both meaningful and enjoyable. Its content is meticulously aligned with national and state curricula, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with schoolwork.

In India, more than 26 crore students attend over 15 lakh schools, dreaming of a brighter future through education. However, for 90% of these children attending government or low-income private schools, the journey is fraught with challenges. Many face the harsh reality of a single teacher managing multiple grades, sharing worn-out textbooks and conducting classes on dusty floors. Financial support and parental guidance for learning are often scant, further hindering their educational journey.

The Need for a Change

The educational landscape in India is diverse and dynamic, yet it faces significant challenges. A vast majority of students are taught in regional languages such as Hindi, Marathi, Odia, Telugu, Tamil, and Gujarati. Despite this diversity, there is a severe shortage of high-quality educational content in these languages. Additionally, most students cannot afford paid EdTech solutions and students often lack learning support at home. These challenges highlight the urgent need for accessible, high-quality educational resources.

Introducing TicTacLearn

To address these challenges, TicTacLearn (TTL) was launched in March 2020. This innovative platform is designed to cater specifically to India’s diverse student population. Imagine a vast repository filled with high-quality educational content available in multiple regional languages. TicTacLearn offers engaging videos, quizzes and activities that make learning both meaningful and enjoyable. The content is meticulously aligned with national and state curricula, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with schoolwork.

Leveraging Technology for Wider Outreach

TicTacLearn leverages digital platforms like DIKSHA and YouTube for wider outreach, ensuring that its resources reach as many students as possible. For a seamless learning experience, QR codes are embedded into textbooks, allowing students to access relevant digital content effortlessly. A robust Learning Management System (LMS) supports course delivery and tracking, while automated assessments enhance student performance analysis and grading.

A Look at TicTacLearn’s Impact

TicTacLearn has made significant strides in digital education, boasting over 14,000 videos covering Math and Science for students from early childhood through Grade 10. These videos are available in seven major languages, benefiting nearly 50 million students. TicTacLearn’s YouTube presence has soared, with the Hindi channel alone amassing over 170 million views and 500,000 subscribers. The newly introduced TicTacLearn Senior channel has also gained rapid traction, garnering 200,000 subscribers and 35 million views within just three months. These metrics highlight the platform’s effectiveness in engaging students and delivering valuable educational content.

Supporting Teachers and Enhancing Learning

Teachers can greatly benefit from TicTacLearn’s resources. The vast library of videos and activities can supplement lessons, making classes more engaging and effective. Since TicTacLearn’s content is aligned with national and state curricula, teachers can confidently integrate these resources into their lesson plans. Moreover, TicTacLearn LMS enables teachers to closely monitor class-level progress, identify areas needing attention, and assess mastered learning outcomes. Aggregate engagement data offers valuable insights into the dynamics of student learning, contributing to a deeper understanding of educational effectiveness. This system not only helps teachers track student progress but also highlights broader trends and areas that may require additional focus.

In-school Learning

Addressing the Smartphone Usage Challenge

According to Central Square Foundation’s Bharat Survey for EdTech 2023 report, 74% of children use a smartphone for more than 30 minutes daily, but only half use it for learning. TicTacLearn addresses this by transforming screen time into an immersive learning experience via engaging and meaningful educational content. This ensures that screen time is productive.

How Students Can Access TicTacLearn

For students, TicTacLearn offers easy access through its dedicated YouTube channels, where thousands of educational videos are available for free. By simply searching for TicTacLearn on YouTube and subscribing, students can stay updated with new content. Additionally, the DIKSHA platform hosts learning resources from TicTacLearn that align with school curriculums. Many NCERT and state textbooks now include QR codes that link directly to TicTacLearn videos, making it easy for students to find relevant digital content.

Parents also play a crucial role in their children’s education, and TicTacLearn provides them with the means to support learning at home. The engaging and easy-to-understand videos help reinforce concepts taught in school. With content available in multiple regional languages, parents can ensure that language is no longer a barrier to their child’s education. Furthermore, all TicTacLearn content is freely accessible, ensuring that quality education is within reach for every family, regardless of economic background.
