Public-private partnerships in school education: Learning and insights for India

This report traces the evolution of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) in education in India and defines the need and opportunity for whole school model of PPP implementation. It synthesizes insights and learning from international experience and draws lessons from both sets of experiences to make suggestions for the effective implementation of whole school PPPs. Lessons from existing models in India and international efforts for collaboration between the private and public sector show that PPPs have an important role in improving the system. This landscape report on PPP in School Education examines the opportunity for the private sector to partner with the government to improve the quality of school education delivery in India.
