Investment in learning: Promoting quality school education through corporate social responsibility

This report provides guidance to companies as they formulate or refine their strategy for education CSR. It discusses the imperative for companies to contribute toward improving education quality and highlights twelve areas for investment such as public-private partnership schools, school leadership, teacher training, and vocational education in secondary schools.

Within each of these areas, the report suggests ways that companies can contribute and highlights an example of corporate involvement. It also provides overarching strategies for CSR in any area of education: design a focused strategy, aim for systemic impact by developing innovative models with the potential for scale and that can serve as models for policy reform, collaborate with other stakeholders,take a long-term view, and invest in monitoring and evaluation.
