WHO ARE WE
is a CSF initiative to build the next generation of senior leaders for the development sector. A sector that has seen seen significant growth in the past decade. To drive scale, sustainability and impact the social sector needs professional talent.
The question is where is this leadership talent?
A good place to start to look would be industry. There is a need to address the endemic problem, namely the talent shortage. To bridge this gap NGO’s will need to build strategies to attract top corporate talent from middle and upper management to play key roles in their organisations. To do this, they will need to address the public perception of NGOs, and increase awareness on opportunities to influence talented senior managers from considering working for an NGO as a viable career option.
Among other initiatives, ILSS is building a platform to highlight developments in the sector: its opportunities and challenges. A repository of information, the platform will encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration, showcase success stories from the sector, benchmark best practises, address perceptions and highlight leadership role models. By identifying opportunities, challenges and rewards of the social sector, the ILSS platform aims to create an informed movement of leadership talent for the sector.
WHAT WE DO
ILSS, in partnership with Indian School of Development Management (ISDM), is offering a series of 9-day programs aimed to help senior leadership make meaningful transitions into the social sector.
The vision of the program is to inspire, empower, and enable high quality talent to play leadership roles in the development sector.
